Why This Book?

I wrote this book because of the many wonderful experiences I had creating and teaching an innovative high school course called Successful Living to high school students and adults in the early 1980’s. Although the thesis of my book changed from Successful Living to The Secrets of Life Power the concepts are very similar.

I wrote this book because I wanted to share the ideas and concepts that helped me become successful in my roles as a husband and father and in my work as a school teacher, coach, administrator and military officer.

This book is a distillation of the best ideas that I have learned from hundreds of self-development books that I have read over the years. It is my way of saying “Thank You” to all the people who attended my seminars, read one of my newspaper articles and encouraged me to put my ideas into a book.
